Senior Producer
As part of the production team you will be responsible for building and managing one of our internal game teams and creating an innovative action title, the next original IP for the studio. You will be a seasoned producer with a great track record, looking to make your next move up and take on a new challenge. Role summary:

Bossa Studios is looking for an experienced Senior Coder looking to step up to the next level to help us create wonderful, entertaining games. This is an opportunity to join at an exciting and critical time in Bossa’s development and work on titles that push the limits.

Role summary:


We’re looking for an experienced Senior Coder looking to step up to the next level to help us create wonderful, entertaining games. This is an opportunity to join at an exciting and critical time in Bossa’s development and work on titles that push the limits.

 

As a Senior Coder you will be responsible for working with the rest of the development department to take our games from concept to completion. You’ll work on a wide variety of areas of each game, and will be actively collaborating with team members of other disciplines. You will have the opportunity to work in a flexible environment, and to add your own ideas into the mix in order to create the most enjoyable and entertaining game possible.

 

As a candidate for the Senior Coder role you are expected to have proven experience within a senior/lead role, with broad experience working across a wide variety of game systems. Importantly you must also be self-motivating, a strong team player who is proactive and with a personal desire to deliver at the highest standard.

 


Responsibilities:

 

  • Taking core gameplay features from a design through development all the way through bugfixing and polish
  • Ensuring the pieces you build that create amazing gameplay experiences are clean, efficient, and polished
  • Building game systems architecture
  • Memory and framerate profiling and optimisation
  • Mentoring and/or managing other members of the programming team

 

Requirements:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Game Designer. As a member of the design team you will be responsible for the fundamental mechanics and balancing of our games. You will help drive the vision for what the game is, how it should work, what players should feel - and you will solve problems on a daily basis towards achieving that vision.

  • Helping establish and craft the vision for gameplay systems and entire games
  • Maintaining this vision and guiding it through the creative process, from prototyping through release and beyond
  • Collaborating with programmers, artists, producers, QA, and other roles within the company
  • Evangelizing other members of the team, helping them to see the goals and purpose of the game design
  • Designing and balancing large multiplayer systems, especially crafting, player rewards, player progression, and combat
  • Proactively recognising design holes or imbalances in the game and solving them

The role:

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Social Media intern will be an energetic individual with a mission to engage with our awesome Worlds Adrift audience every day.

Working alongside the Marketing and Development teams, you will assist with content creation and publishing across all social channels, websites, blogs and ensure that the Worlds Adrift campaign is supported at all times.

Daily duties include monitoring the wonderful Worlds Adrift community to recognise, engage, celebrate and share fan’s content and conversations, across all of the Worlds Adrift social channels (Forum, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Steam, YouTube and Twitch).

We see this as unique opportunity for a higher education student to get practical experience working in the gaming industry for a leading independent studio.

Your skills:

  • Active and engaged player of the latest MMOs. Comfortable engaging with that audience.
  • Proven experience with growing a company’s or your own social media following base.
  • Photoshop wizard: ability to create images for Bossa’s social media channels, plus promotional materials such as flyers, badges.
  • Ability to find and bond with with our fans on fan sites, forums and Reddit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for games, for the kind of games Bossa do and the type of audience who love our games.
  • Self-motivated, goals-driven and well organised.
